Jordan Ayew equals his father Abedi Pele’s record with goal against Japan in Kirin Cup defeat

Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew has equalled his father Abedi Ayew Pele’s goal record for the Ghana as he scored in Ghana’s defeat in the Kirin Cup.

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was on target against Japan when Black Stars lost 4-1 in the semifinals of the 2022 Kirin Cup on Friday.
The goal means the striker has now scored 19 goals for the Black Stars in 80 games, same amount of goals his father scored in 73 games for Ghana.
Ayew’s best scoring moment for Ghana was in 2015 where he netted five goals in 14 games.
The 31-year-old has experienced a bit of drought and this goal could be a confident booster.
